Geneva Airport to Saint-Gervais
Saint-Gervais-les-Bains is about 73 km from Geneva Airport, roughly an hour by car with no traffic. By train it is the Chamonix connection without the last leg: two changes to Saint-Gervais-les-Bains-Le Fayet, then a tram or bus up to the town.
Saint-Gervais has two parts that matter to a traveller. Le Fayet, at 580 m, is on the valley floor with the station. The resort town sits higher up, and the tramway operator gives its Saint-Gervais stop at 850 m. If you are staying up in the town or on the slopes, the train alone does not get you there.

- Train
On a sample Saturday in October 2026 the 10:14 from the airport reached Saint-Gervais-les-Bains-Le Fayet at 12:16, after changes at Geneva Cornavin and Annemasse. On the weekday we sampled, the stretch from Annemasse ran as a bus and the trip took almost three hours. The single fare and the rest of the connection are on the train page; the Léman Pass ticket already ends at Saint-Gervais-Le Fayet, so you need only one.
- Tram up to the town
The Tramway du Mont-Blanc starts at Le Fayet station and stops at Saint-Gervais on its way up the mountain. The commune says it runs 4 to 6 times a day in winter. On the summer 2026 grid, Le Fayet to Saint-Gervais cost 7.30 euros one way; the winter timetable and fares were not yet published.
- Bus
The bus station is in the station car park. Regional line Y82 runs from Chamonix through Le Fayet and Saint-Gervais to Megève and Praz-sur-Arly; it is a paid line. The commune's own Facilibus shuttles are free and run every day from 7:00 to 20:00 around Saint-Gervais. FlixBus also lists Geneva Airport to its Le Fayet station stop, about 1 h 10. Tourisme Haute-Savoie gives the Saint-Gervais Mont-Blanc ski area a general opening on 12 December 2026, until 4 April 2027. Nearby Les Contamines runs from 5 December 2026 to 10 April 2027.
